The Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools (QCES) Foundation announced the successful conclusion of its Faith in Our Future Annual Campaign raising more than $55,000. The campaign supports the foundation’s mission to enhance Catholic education. The foundation’s main focus is tuition assistance. Since the 2012-13 school year, the QCES Foundation has awarded nearly $1.3 million in tuition assistance to more than 2,200 students. 

"We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of individuals and businesses who made this campaign a success," said Elizabeth Brown, QCES Foundation Board President. "Every donation, no matter the size, plays a vital role in supporting families who need additional support to choose Catholic education."

The QCES Foundation awarded $130,000 in tuition assistance to Catholic and non-Catholic families for the current school year, the largest amount in the foundation’s history. Students who qualify are awarded an average of $1,200. Though tuition assistance is only awarded to about 11% of the student population, all students benefit. Tuition assistance sustains enrollment which keeps classrooms full which helps provide financial stability for the schools.

The Faith in Our Future Annual Campaign could not have reached its fundraising goal without the support of local businesses, organizations, and individual donors who are passionate about ensuring the future of Catholic education in Quincy. Their contributions have a lasting impact on students and families, strengthening the community as a whole.

The Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools Foundation was established in 2009 as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to support Catholic elementary education in Quincy, Illinois, through the establishment of a permanent tuition-assistance fund. The QCES Foundation strives to make a Catholic elementary school education affordable and attainable for every family seeking to send their child(ren) to one of Quincy’s four Catholic elementary schools.
