Part-time Bookkeeper and Office Assistant

The Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools Foundation is currently seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper and Office Assistant to join our team. This role primarily involves managing all bookkeeping functions of the organization, ensuring accurate financial records and transactions. Additionally, the position will provide clerical support, assist with special events, and undertake other duties as required based on the candidate's experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to bank reconciliation and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks software.
  • Provide clerical support such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, including logistics coordination and attendee registration.
  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned based on the candidate's experience and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred but not required. Training on QuickBooks will be provided.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or willingness to undergo training.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.

Average of 6 hours/per week with a flexible schedule. Pay is $20/hour.
